During the program, participants will :
This program is an opportunity for nursing graduate students and graduate alumni, to complete a comprehensive program on teaching and learning in the health sciences classroom. Accredited by QCHP, the program provides foundational knowledge of evidence-based pedagogical practices and a chance to teach in an undergraduate nursing classroom.
To be awarded a certificate, you will earn the following digital badges:
Articulate beliefs about teaching and learning in a teaching philosophy statement.
Integrate understanding of teaching and learning into a teaching dossier.
Explore the context within which learning takes place for students with English as a second language.
Apply knowledge of the process of teaching and learning in developing a lesson plan and a course.
Explore the components of clinical teaching to facilitate the transfer of theory to practice.
Evaluate a program as a whole by identifying and aligning the components.
Inquire into a question on teaching and learning through a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) project.
Examine current issues, challenges, and approaches for educating in complex clinical contexts.
Observe, design, and teach a lesson.
