Catherine Bowman, MN
Kate joined the UCQ Faculty of Nursing in August 2017 after teaching in post-secondary nursing education for 10 years in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Prior to becoming an educator, Kate practiced as an emergency department registered nurse in Canada and the United States for over a decade. Since transitioning into the role of educator, Kate has been successful in designing, implementing and evaluating curriculum, as well as advocating for the intentional use of simulation in nursing programs. She incorporates teaching and learning strategies aimed at enhancing clinical judgment and decision making among nursing students and believes that all students are active participants in gaining knowledge.
